Modern Ocean Beach Apartment

Upon arrival Scott & Denise made sure that the A/C was turned on & a complimentary champagne bottle was provided 😭 my friend & I (that are originally from SD) love to staycation and will gladly book our stay here again! Tbh we ended up extending our stay of 5 days to a total of 7. The location was phenomenal - especially if you love to go for a walk or walk to the nearest markets or stores. The host(s) were the upmost responsive and friendly! Grateful for the experience and hospitality! Hope you’ll host us again! Appreciate you 🫶🏻

We had a great stay. The place was really nice and new, comfy beds. Close to the beach, cafe's, restaurants. We've stayed in other spots in Ocean Beach and to us this one seemed the most quiet from the airplanes that fly over Ocean Beach. The hosts were very quick to respond and pleasant to deal with. Enjoyed the stay, apartment was much better stocked than I expected. Positive: residential beach homes easy access to beach, stores, bars, etc. Negative: Air traffic was a bit noticeable, no planes from 11:00PM to 6:30AM so it's not overly intrusive. Very nicely decorated and comfortable unit. Great location for Dog Beach and area restaurants. It does have a private garage for each unit, but it was tight getting into with our Prius. Very enjoyable visit and would stay here again.

The place looks exactly like the photos. like the host stated, it is a very small garage in a tight alley. makes it difficult to park an suv in it. It can be difficult to find street parking at certain times of the day. Hosts were very responsive and willing to come out a fix the door knobs.

Wonderful stay at the beach Positive: We loved the apartment. The location was perfect, close to the beach and not far from the zoo. There are good places to eat within walking distance. The hosts were easily accessible, friendly, and helpful. My grandson didn’t want to leave. We had one unfortunate experience. My grandson was waiting in the car in the garage with the garage door open when somehow the garage door closed on him. He was terrified! He banged on the door until someone else opened it for him. We’re not sure why the door closed or who opened it for him, but we learned not to let him wait in the car!!

I came down to run a 10K with my mom and sisters and the house was in a perfect location. We were able to easily get to the run and back. The house was comfortable. We had everything we needed. The directions to access the house were perfect. I really can't think of anything to say that isn't positive. We would definitely come back next year if we decide to run the same race!

Positive: Loved the side back fence with a sliding door in room! Negative: Need grass for dog. Hot water issues had to keep resetting for everyone to shower. Not many towels had to wash them.

This was a great space for a trip to Dog Beach! Cannot beat the proximity to Dog Beach, incredible bars, and restaurants. The only thing it lacked were a few drawers in the bedrooms. Like others before me, I discovered the garage is tiny and it was a challenge to get in/out when there is another car in the alley. Basically find a good street parking space. Host was very responsive with any questions or issues.

Excellent stay!! Positive: It was a beautiful property and extremely clean and spacious. Great location near the beaches and an easy drive to the city. Negative: With a bit of a tweak the brown and white room’s bed creaks a lot. This would be an easy fix. If we stayed longer we would request this to be adjusted or try and fix ourselves.

Great location and property for families! Positive: Loved the location! We walked everywhere and nothing was more than 10 minutes away. House was very clean and comfortable for our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids under 12 and a Golden Retriever). Dan and Becky were super responsive and helpful. Loved that there was a wagon, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards available so we didn’t have to bring them from home. Would definitely stay again! Negative: Parking was not fun initially. We knew the garage would be on the smaller side, but we only have a minivan and thought we’d fit. Even if our van would have fit inside the garage, there was no way we would have been able to get it in due to the narrowness of the alley and other cars parked in the alley. Street parking was hard to come by, but once we found a spot, we were able to keep it parked with no issues. Thankfully, everything was within walking distance!!

A cozy and relaxing space to stay while enjoying the coast of SD Positive: I loved the location, the garage parking, the amount of space, the bedding. The beds were extremely comfortable so much that my friend was asking about what mattresses were on them. I really liked the proximity to ocean beach as well as to other sights/attractions. Negative: The AC didn’t seem to be working as strongly after the first day. We set it to 68 and it was cool the first night but it didn’t seem to stay that cold the following two nights. There were also some scuff marks on the walls (not a huge deal but some people might care)

Great location and comfort property for families vacation Positive: Modern, spacious and well-equipped house. Perfect and quiet location up to 5 - 10 minutes walking distance from the ocean beach. We used car and bus for transportation to the city sights/attractions. House was very clean and comfortable for our family of 6 (2 adults + 2 adults + senior + 1 kids 4 yrs old). Garage incl. beach wagon, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys available. Dan and Becky / owners were very friendly, very helpful with perfect communication.

The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the backyard was a nice — private, peaceful, and perfect for enjoying San Diego’s great weather. The location is ideal: tucked into a quiet neighborhood, but just a short walk to the beach, great local restaurants, and attractions like Sunset Cliffs and Ocean Beach. We absolutely loved our stay in Ocean Beach for my brothers wedding. The house was extremely clean and looked just like the photos. We felt right at home! We brought our two dogs with us and while we were gone for the wedding the host went above and beyond to meet our dog’s needs and hired a pet sitter for us while we were away. They were very responsive and the house had everything we needed. Thank you again!

Lovely space. Great for family of 4 (with two teenagers). The common space/patio was perfect for morning coffee. In unit washer and dryer was so helpful. Having access to beach chairs and boogie boards and beach towels made our beach days so much easier! The restaurant recommendations provided were spot on. Wouldn’t plan on parking anything larger than a Rav-4/CRV type size vehicle in the garage, and even then it required near professional parking skills. But there was decent availability of on street parking, especially on the weekdays. Would love to come back here to stay again.

One if the best Airbnb we have stayed in Denise was sooo accommodating. The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood . The apartment was furnished with comfortable beds,Hot showers and plenty of all you need to feel right at home! Loved the quietness of complex and outdoor private patio. Garage is small but we managed to get our minivan in! The beach towels,chairs, and wagon were great for the 2 block walk to the beach. Don't miss seeing dog beach! Nice local beach clean. lots of restaurants within walking distance(Benedits makes a great breakfast. Our 2 adult Grandsons loved the spot. FYI you are by San Diego Airport so planes do fly overhead periodically. Quiet at night though. Overall one of our best experiences and will definately be back!
